The first week of my Little Black Dress Challenge has gone by in a flash. Of course, I realise that the first week is always by far the easiest week of all, as the determination and motivation are fully powered. I just did what I had to do: I ate healthy, chose workouts that raise my heart rate and experienced to the fullest the body shaping systems The Body Firm has to offer. Continue reading for the details of the first week in my body transformation journey*.

If you want to lose weight, inches or lower your fat percentage (or in most cases all 3!) you have to deal with the fact that 80% comes down to choosing the right food. You can slave in the gym every day, run your butt off in marathons, walk miles, but if you satisfy your cravings after that with the wrong food, all your sweat has been wasted. You will never achieve your goal. I have chosen to eat right, but not to leave out any food groups. I love my carbs, my salad dressing and my dairy, so I need a good mix of tasty, yet nutritious food. So, here is an example of my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious and super healthy.

In addition to my healthy food choices I chose to start the week with the I-lipo. One of the popular treatments that The Body Firm’s customers are doing. Generally, you choose one area to work on. I chose to work on my abs (better say belly as it is quite bulging). The I-lipo works with cold laser that penetrates the skin. It targets the fat cells and as (a chemical reaction) the fat cells open and the content gets metabolised by the body. In order to get rid of it, it needs to be disposed of naturally. So that means by sweat! So this system needs to be followed up by regular sports. I did the treatment a few times this week and followed it up by 30-minute cross training and 30-minute running on the treadmill. That felt really good and effective.

I also biked. As you can see, I went to the East Coast and enjoyed the great outdoor. I love to bike from Marina Barrage all the way until the end of East Coast Park. To go and come back is about 35 km and that is a good workout. Although, I have always been very sporty and spend a lot of time either on the tennis court, on my bike or in the pool or gym, during this 6-week challenge I will try to increase the intensity even more. In order to make a workout more effective you should always challenge yourself. Either by going faster or further if it comes to biking, or more repetitions or heavier weights if it comes to working out in the gym. That is exactly what I did this week and what I will increase next week.

Results of the week*: Ok, I know that everyone is really curious what the results were of this first week of hardship! Well, to be honest, I did weight myself and the number of the scale is going down gradually! I lost a whopping 2 kg*, but then again, I have not measured my fat % yet. That decreases way more slowly than the kilos on the scale. The 2 kg of this week will definitely not only be a loss of fat (I wish) but for sure a lot of water as well. But, I feel good and look good, so what more can I wish for.
