More. Weeks. And I will complete my very first Little Black Dress Challenge.

I can already tell you that I will certainly continue my body transformation journey in January 2016. Stay tuned for Part II.

Maybe we can think of a way that you can join me? After all, it is much nicer to go through such a challenge collectively. How nice would it be if someone tells you “You did really well this morning on your HIIT training. Keep up the good work!” while all your muscles are burning as you persevere through your intensive workout.

Well, let me know what you think.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”” bg_parallax=”” inertia=”0.1″ bg_maps_scroll=”” bg_maps_infobox=”” bg_type=”” parallax_style=”” bg_image_new=”” layer_image=”” bg_image_repeat=”” bg_image_size=”” bg_cstm_size=”” bg_img_attach=”” parallax_sense=”” bg_image_posiiton=”” animation_direction=”” animation_repeat=”” video_url=”” video_url_2=”” u_video_url=”” video_opts=”” video_poster=”” u_start_time=”” u_stop_time=”” viewport_vdo=”” enable_controls=”” bg_override=”” disable_on_mobile_img_parallax=”” parallax_content=”” parallax_content_sense=”” fadeout_row=”” fadeout_start_effect=”” enable_overlay=”” overlay_color=”” overlay_pattern=”” overlay_pattern_opacity=”” overlay_pattern_size=”” overlay_pattern_attachment=”” multi_color_overlay=”” multi_color_overlay_opacity=”” seperator_enable=”” seperator_type=”” seperator_position=”” seperator_shape_size=”” seperator_svg_height=”” seperator_shape_background=”” seperator_shape_border=”” seperator_shape_border_color=”” seperator_shape_border_width=”” icon_type=”” icon=”” icon_size=”” icon_color=”” icon_style=”” icon_color_bg=”” icon_border_style=”” icon_color_border=”” icon_border_size=”” icon_border_radius=”” icon_border_spacing=”” icon_img=”” img_width=”” ult_hide_row=”” ult_hide_row_large_screen=”” ult_hide_row_desktop=”” ult_hide_row_tablet=”” ult_hide_row_tablet_small=”” ult_hide_row_mobile=”” ult_hide_row_mobile_large=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1112″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Guilty pleasures… Aren’t they the best?

The last few weeks I discovered a new side of myself: discipline.

How nice is that? I sat through many social events and family gatherings with just sparkling water and a touch of lemon. Was it easy? No! Was it worth it? Yes! We all know that a glass of wine doesn’t hurt anyone if taken moderately. But, not only is alcohol relatively high in sugar (and high in calories), a side effect is the craving for salty fatty snacks after a few glasses.

One evening of indulging on wine, beer or any other drink accompanied with snacks such as crisps, nuts or cheese can easily spoil your efforts of the past days. You can honestly have a great 5 days of healthy eating and drinking in a row, lose a few inches and shed a kilo or two… and with just one weak moment, be back to square one.

How tempting is that glass of Prosecco, right? Honestly, I only took the picture and did not take any sip of this glass. But….I succumbed to the temptation on a few other occasions and I did regret it afterwards. Back to the disciplined side of me: Ginger tea for me, please![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1114″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]In addition to the body treatments I have been doing here at The Body Firm, I added a cellulite massage the last few weeks.

Cellulite is very hard to beat. The uneven texture of cellulite appears when fat cells build up between fibrous tissues that connect your skin to your underlying muscles. The fat pushes your skin outward while the fibrous bands pull areas of your skin inward, causing the uneven surface.

The cellulite massage I am doing is based on the technique that vigorous massage helps to increase blood circulation, removing toxins and reducing excessive amounts of fluid in areas that contain cellulite. And it does! But oh my, it is painful! First I could not believe that by squeezing the skin and getting bruised would improve the sight of cellulite. But I have witnessed visible improvements on my customers and on myself lately.

Of course, it takes a few sessions to achieve great results and this treatment should be used in conjunction with other treatments and a healthy diet for optimum performances. My skin is getting smooth again and I will certainly continue this cellulite treatment for the remaining weeks![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”” bg_parallax=”” inertia=”0.1″ bg_maps_scroll=”” bg_maps_infobox=”” bg_type=”” parallax_style=”” bg_image_new=”” layer_image=”” bg_image_repeat=”” bg_image_size=”” bg_cstm_size=”” bg_img_attach=”” parallax_sense=”” bg_image_posiiton=”” animation_direction=”” animation_repeat=”” video_url=”” video_url_2=”” u_video_url=”” video_opts=”” video_poster=”” u_start_time=”” u_stop_time=”” viewport_vdo=”” enable_controls=”” bg_override=”” disable_on_mobile_img_parallax=”” parallax_content=”” parallax_content_sense=”” fadeout_row=”” fadeout_start_effect=”” enable_overlay=”” overlay_color=”” overlay_pattern=”” overlay_pattern_opacity=”” overlay_pattern_size=”” overlay_pattern_attachment=”” multi_color_overlay=”” multi_color_overlay_opacity=”” seperator_enable=”” seperator_type=”” seperator_position=”” seperator_shape_size=”” seperator_svg_height=”” seperator_shape_background=”” seperator_shape_border=”” seperator_shape_border_color=”” seperator_shape_border_width=”” icon_type=”” icon=”” icon_size=”” icon_color=”” icon_style=”” icon_color_bg=”” icon_border_style=”” icon_color_border=”” icon_border_size=”” icon_border_radius=”” icon_border_spacing=”” icon_img=”” img_width=”” ult_hide_row=”” ult_hide_row_large_screen=”” ult_hide_row_desktop=”” ult_hide_row_tablet=”” ult_hide_row_tablet_small=”” ult_hide_row_mobile=”” ult_hide_row_mobile_large=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1116″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]As mentioned in my previous blog, I decided to try out High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) this week.

HIIT training consists of very intense bursts of activity followed by a (sometimes active) recovery period. The major benefits are that it increases metabolism as the “after effect” is bigger. This is due to the fact that we consume more oxygen during intense activity than in slower, steady-state exercise. This in itself can increase post-exercise metabolism, and means that we continue to burn calories long after exercising. Studies have shown that, over time, shorter high-intensity workouts result in greater fat loss than steady-state cardio sessions.

I downloaded apps such as “7”, “Tabata” “hiit timer”, and looked out for workouts on YouTube. I followed the Be Fit 30 days fat burn videos. They are 10-12 minutes long. To be honest, the first day I thought it was way too easy: I did the Dynamic Strength workout, and at the end I went for a 6 km jog. When I woke up the next day, I could barely walk: my glutes and legs were so sore.

Try it out and let me know what you think![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1113″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]It was an interesting and tough week 4.

I have noticed that it is getting harder to stay motivated. I am still very strong on the workout though and I am still doing my beauty treatments here at The Body Firm on a regular basis. The body treatments are really good and effective and I really do enjoy them (this is the customer side of me speaking here, not the owner of the shaping boutique 🙂

I did lose some inches again and my clothes are really getting loose. This is really motivating.

So let’s get ready for week 5!

I will keep you posted!
